My impression of Denmark had always been: flat and dull—too much like the Netherlands. On our journey to Sweden, we drove straight through it, and the highway seemed to confirm that view. But on the way back, we decided to linger for a few days at the northern tip above Odense, in a place called Fyn’s Hoved. Each evening I ventured out, chasing sunsets that painted the sky in soft golds and deep reds. Denmark revealed a side I hadn’t expected: serene, soulful, and quietly captivating.
