From February 18th to 25th, 2024, I spent a week exploring Puglia. Over 1,300 kilometers on the road, and I must have seen nearly every town in the region. Beautiful cities, charming villages, and of course—unforgettable food. Lecce stood out as the absolute highlight: a stunning historic gem that left a lasting impression. Not everything was picture-perfect, though. Sadly, some locals don’t treat their beautiful land with the care it deserves. Along rural roads, it’s not uncommon to see full bags of trash scattered in the landscape. Just like in traffic—it’s a mindset thing. But it didn’t spoil the experience. The photos speak for themselves.Bari, Brindisi, Lecce, Roca Vecchia, Otranto, Specchia, Santa Maria di Leuca, Gallipoli, Taranto, Matera, Altamura, Noci, Cisternino, Polignano a Mare, Monopoli, Ostuni, and Alberobello.
